Amazon Silk (Mobile web browsing platform)

As I have mentioned in my last blog that I am excited about the tablet (Fire) introduced by Amazon, but I am more curious and interested in learning what Amazon’s new mobile browsing platform had to offer. After much investigation and reading the information given by Amazon I reached the conclusion that Silk (the name given by Amazon to this smart piece of web browsing technology) can be ground breaking and it has the potential to change the way data gets delivered and accessed over the network in the hand held devices.

Amazon knows that they are the God of cloud computing and their server farms are one of the best and biggest in the World. Keeping into consideration the unfathomable computing power generated in the data centers of Amazon, Silk will make data processing lightening fast by making use of AWS (Amazon Web Services) and the underlying EC2 (elastic cloud). There has been this amazing video (see below) where the engineers from Amazon explained the functionality of Silk, its underlying principles and the dynamic split browsing functionality.

I truly liked the concept behind Silk. In this cloud driven technical world Silk has got the potential to make a big impression. Let’s see what the consumers had to say about Silk. As for me, I am totally sold to this concept. Watch the video above and decide.
